Roger Cheves

Associate Solicitor / Bideford
01237 427921 [email protected]

Prior to training as a Solicitor, Roger started his working life as a riding instructor and army officer. Once qualified, he progressed to become a partner in a City firm specialising in commercial litigation. He was lured back to the South West 10 years ago, joining the Slee Blackwell litigation team in 2008. He now advises predominantly in the areas of Employment Law and high value Civil Litigation, particularly commercial contract dispute resolution, probate disputes and professional negligence. He is a qualified Mediator and fully embraces the concept of attempting to resolve disputes without the need for expensive and time-consuming use of the courts, where possible.

Roger is a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association, a founder member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, the American Trial Lawyers Association and is accredited by the Law Society in the conduct of personal injury law.

Cricket, rugby, tennis, horses, dogs and anything that involves being in the fresh air tend to occupy the rare moments when he is not attempting to resolve the problems of Slee Blackwell’s clients. He has even been know to hit something that he actually aimed at with his shotgun… but not very often.
